Flood Damage to plants at Ms. Vivian’s. These plants were under water from flooding for several days. Plants at the end of the trellis were not flooded and survived. All the rest of the photos in this album are hers (Papa Sylvest variety)
Vine is raised bed that survived.
This is about 200 feet of Miss Vivian's trellis that flooded and killed 30 plants
Vine is raised bed that survived.
This is about 200 feet of trellis that flooded and killed 30 plants. Plants grew for years in raised beds on both sides but flood covered plants with 24" of water for at least two days. Because of global warming and Louisiana's shrinking coast line which allows gulf waters to push through canal systems in the area.
